Overseeding blend is great for thickening and strengthening up your existing lawn, which aids in fighting weeds.
The best time to seed your lawn is May through mid June, and August through mid-September. Planting in late June and in July should be avoided due to excessive heat.
Before overseeding, mow the lawn to a short height and rake to remove debris and thatch. Loosen the ground in bare or thin areas and apply soil (approx. 1 inch). When seeding pick a calm day, divide the seed in two equal amounts and apply half in one direction and half in the opposite direction. After applying the seed, lightly rake or roll the surface to ensure good seed to soil contact. Keep the soil moist.
